Welcome to the KCTL Farm FIG Wiki

Farm FIG Schedule: Fall 2015

Tuesday, 10/6, 3-4pm

Friday, 10/16, 12pm-3pm: CUNY Food Talks (RSVP to mara.gittleman@kbcc.cuny.edu)

Tuesday, 10/27, 10:45-11:40am

Tuesday, 11/17, 10:45-11:40am

Please join KCC Urban Farm staff for a series of discussions about how faculty, staff, and students can get involved with KCC Urban Farm —incorporating it into current curricula, designing courses and/or modules around it, using it for research, hosting events, civic engagement, volunteering, etc. We will be planning and hosting a CUNY-wide round-table of faculty teaching about issues related to food and farming, as well as hearing from the first round of faculty incorporating class beds into their courses.

There are many opportunities to incorporate the urban farm, and food systems more generally, into curricula across disciplines. For more information about how faculty can get involved, see http://cewdkbcc.com/current-programs/kcc-urban-farm/get-involved-faculty/

About KCC Urban Farm:

The mission of KCC Urban Farm is to catalyze thought, dialogue, and action around food system issues. Managed by students, faculty, and staff, the quarter-acre site includes approximately 7,000 square feet for cultivation and learning experiences for the entire KCC community.
